Propagation
Sow fresh seeds in containers during autumn and place on a cold frame.

Division of offsets during late spring to early summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile leaves are linear to spathulate with a thick fleshy texture and a mucronate to obtuse apex. They are arranged in a compact basal rosette.

Flower: The funnelform flowers have 2-sepals and 7-9 oval notched petals with white or pink-red veins and the pedestal is up to 12 mm (½in)long. They are up to 100 blooms arranged in a panicle that is held above the foliage on a slender scape that is up to 300 mm (24in) tall. From late spring to summer each plant will produce several flowering stems.

Fruit: The small capsule opens from top and contains numerous glossy dark seeds with shallow warts and are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
