Propagation
Sow fresh seed from autumn to spring in pots and in cold climates place in a cold frame.
Divide established clumps (offsets) during autumn when dormant.

Botanic information
Leaf: The semi-erect fleshy textured dark green long-linear leaves are up to 8mm (? in) wide with an acute apex. They appear form the base during spring with the flowers.

Flower: The blue campanulate flowers have 6-perianth segments and 6-stamens and are arranged in a dense terminal raceme. They open consecutively from the base and appear from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The small loculicidal capsules are 3-lobed and contain tiny dark seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
