Propagation
Sow fresh seeds in containers and place in a cold framed germinate. Seedlings take 5-7 years to produce flowers.
Division of the rhizome with a growing points when dormant from a late summer to early autumn. The rhizome may take two seasons to establish.

Botanic information
Leaf: The broad elliptical sessile leaves are up to 80 mm (3? in) wide with an acute apex. The upper surface is a mid-green to bluish green with a pale mottled appearance and the entire margins tend to be undulating.
Flower: The funnelform flowers are composed of 3-green wide spreading lanceolate sepals with an acute apex and are up to 60 mm (2? in) long by 9 mm (? in) wide. The 3-yellowish green petals are narrow-spathulate up to 68 mm (2½ in) long by 15 mm (? in)wide and purplish streaked towards the base.
This long-lasting flower appears in spring and emits an odour of decaying fruit that attracts flies for pollination.
Fruit: The small fleshy greenish-white ovoid berry has 3-chambers and produces no fragrance. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
