Propagation
Sow fresh seeds in containers and place in a cold framed germinate. Seedlings take 5-7 years to produce flowers.

Division of the rhizome with a growing points when dormant from a late summer to early autumn. The rhizome may take two seasons to establish.

Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile mid-green leaves broad-ovate to rhombic up to 200 mm (7µ in) wide with a short acuminate apex. The upper surface has prominent veins and 3-leaves are arranged terminally on a short stem.

Flower: The funnelform flowers have an apple-like scented and consists of 3-spreading green oblanceolate sepals with an acuminate apex and 3-broad ovate white petals with a slightly reflexed acuminate apex. They are held above the foliage on a slender green scape and accompanied with rhombic bracts, appearing during mid-spring.

Fruit: The small fleshy purplish-black globose berry has 3-chambers and no fragrance. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
