Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during autumn or spring in containers and place in a cold frame to germinate.

Soft tip or basal cuttings can be taken during early summer and place in protect environment, keep moist.
Division of the clump during spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The variable leaves are lanceolate to ovate or oblong elliptical up to 30 mm (1? in) wide with a short petiole to 25mm (1 in) and a cuneate base. The apex is acuminate with the upper surface bright green and the pale green underside is glabrous.

Flower: The pale blue tubulate flowers have a short pubescent tube up to 8 mm (¥ in) long with 5-spreading lobes to 10 mm (? in) long. They contain 5-stamens that are arranged alternately and adhered to the upper part of the tube. The flowers have a short pedestal and are arranged in an umbel-like panicle that appears above the foliage during spring.
Note
The narrow throat of the corolla is a lined at the top with a ring of inward facing white hairs and at the base of each pale blue lobe is marked in white or pale yellow.

Fruit: The pair of corky cylindrical follicles are erect and split along one side to release the single row of small cylindrical seeds. The persists on the plant during winter and the small seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
