Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 24º C. (66º to 77º F).

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during spring and semi hardwood cuttings during summer. Place In a protected humid environment.

Botanic information
Leaf: The thin leathery dark green ovate to elliptical leaves are up to 75mm (3 in) wide with an acuminate apex and a cuneate base with a petiole up to 15mm (? in) long and no stipules.

Flower: The white bisexual funnelform flowers darken to lemon-yellow and have strong yellow to purple spots or streaks in the throat. The 5-free green ovate to linear sepals are up to 25mm (1in) long and have an acute apex. The ovate corolla lobes taper into a narrow pendant maroon tail that is up 300mm (1ft) long and the flowers are arranged in a cyme and appear during autumn.

Fruit: The fruit consists of 2-ellipsoid (lanceolate) 2-valved follicles that are up to 30mm (1? in) wide and taper to a narrow obtuse apex. They contain numerous spindle-shaped seeds that are 20mm (µ in) long by 4mm (? in) wide and have a plumose awn up to 100mm (4in) at the apex and a tuft of hairs at the base. The small seeds are viable but the plant can be reproduced vegetatively.
