Propagation
Sow fresh seed during autumn in containers and place in a cold frame to germinate or sow during spring. Seeds may take up to two years to germinate.

Division of the clump during early spring as the foliage appears or directly after flowering.


Botanic information
Leaf: The basal palmately lobed leaves are divided into 5-lanceolate lobes with pointed segments with serrated margins and prominent venation. The petiole is long and the smaller stem leaves are almost sessile appearing sparsely along the stems.

Flower: The cyathiform flowers have 5-15 pale yellow petal-like sepals and 5-yellow incurved petals and appear singularly high above the foliage on a leafy scape from spring to summer.

Fruit: The fruit is composed of many follicles that have tiny seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
