Propagation
Surface sow seeds immediately after collecting and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out when large enough to handle and pot up.
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period and insert in a well drained sandy medium and placed in a protected humid position (misting). Apply bottom heat to encourage fast root development.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green thin textured ovate to oblong leaves have a rounded base with a very short petiole and the apex is obtuse.the upper surface is dull dark green with obvious venation and the underside is a pale green.
Flower: The small insignificant greenish male flowers appear in a cluster and the yellowish crateriform female flower appear solitary both on a long slender pedicle, in the leaf axils from late spring to summer.
Fruit: The small brown woody capsule contains numerous tiny seeds that are viable but the plant can be reproduced vegetatively.
