Propagation
Sow fresh seed during summer in pots and keep warm and moist. Transplant into a prepared bed after 2-3 true leaves appear and keep moist.

Botanic information
Leaf: The pubescent palmately lobed lower leaves are almost divided completely into 3-5 linear to lanceolate segments with serrated margins and are up to 20mm (µ in) wide. The upper stem leaves are similar with slender lobes and the pubescent petiole is long.

Flower: The pink to purplish cyathiform flowers have 5-spreading petals and purplish-red exserted stamens. The pointed sepals are up to 6mm (¥ in) long and the slender pedicle is long. They appear solitary or in a small cluster amongst the foliage during midsummer.

Fruit: The flat rounded schizocarpic fruit has up to 20 glaborous rugose mericarps that have a single cell and contain a single seed. They are indehiscent and are arranged in a whorl.
