Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during autumn in containers and cover with a fine layer of sharp river sand. The seeds will germinate from mid to late winter and should not be planted out until the tubers have developed. Keep the soil moist but not wet.
Division of tubers during late winter and plant at a depth of 200 mm (8in).
