Propagation
Sow fresh seed from autumn and allow up to 2 years for germination. Pick out one large enough to handle and a pot up.
Division of herbaceous species from autumn to spring.

All parts of this plant are toxic and if ingested will cause a stomach upset and or vomiting.
Botanic information
Leaf: The pinnate leaves are 2-ternate with lanceolate to elliptical or ovate pointed leaflets with a mid-green upper surface with depressed reddish veins and the underside is reddish purple.
Flower: The cyathiform flowers have 10-obovate petals with ruffled margins and numerous short yellow stamens. The colour varies from deep pink fading to white and the flowers appear singularly above the foliage on a reddish scape from mid-to-late spring.
Fruit: The small horizontal follicles contain numerous seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
