Botanic information
Leaf: The broad linear to narrow ovate sessile leaves are mid to dark green and densely covered in silky hairs. When crushed the fleshy leaves are aromatic.
Flower: The small 2-lipped campanulate flowers are arranged in an axillary whorled raceme and are a pink-mauve colour. The flowers have 5-fused sepals forming a 2-liped tube with the upper lobe having 3-teeth. The throat is bearded and broad and the flowers appear during summer.
Fruit: The small nut contains tiny seeds that are not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
