Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 24º C. (66º to 77º F).

Soft tip or semi-hardwood cuttings during late summer to early winter and apply bottom heat.


Botanic information
Leaf: The mid gren leaves are oblanceolate to obovate with a rugose upper surface and white-tomentose beneath. Under extreme drought conditions the leaves are dropped (temporary deciduous period).

Flower: The small tubulate flowers have a corolla tube that is up to 15 mm (? in)long with a dark blue lobed upper lip and the lower lip is up to 4 mm (? in)long. They are arranged in whorled-spike that is held above the foliage on a slender scape and appear during summer.

Fruit: The dark brown nutlet contains tiny seeds that may be difficult to germinate. The plant is normally reproduced vegetatively, to maintain true to type.
