Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are linear to linear oblong with a glabrous puckered dark green upper surface and are densely white pubescent on the underside. The apex is obtuse and the recurved margins are serrulate.
Flower: The small 2-lipped pale blue to lavender labiate flowers have a densely pubescent calyx that is up to 8 mm (? in) long with a 3-lobed upper lip and broad lower lip. They are arranged in a terminal tiered whorl (spike) that is held above the foliage on a reddish scape and appear during spring.
Fruit: The small nuts contain seeds that are viable but may be difficult to germinate but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
