Propagation
Sow fresh seeds in flats during spring and prick out when large enough to handle into individual pots or so directly in situ with 150 seeds per square metre. When planting out space 600 mm (2 ft) apart.

Culture
Seeds may be sowed directly in situ but the preferred method is planting out potted plants at 600 mm intervals. Keep the plants moist until established and under normal annual rainfall irrigation is not required. It is important to suppress all weeds while the plants are establishing and every 2-3 years the plants may be burnt or mowed to reduce the dead material.
