Botanic information
Leaf: The mid green leaves are obovate to broad spathulate with an entire undulating margin that may have 2-4 pairs of small teeth. The soft texture leaves are glabrous to slightly pubescent with an obtuse to acute apex.

Flower: The radiate flowers have 80-160 white pale pink ray florets and numerous yellow disk florets. The flower heads are held above the foliage on a pubescent scape that is up to 500 mm (20 in) tall and appear from early spring to late summer.

Fruit: The tiny cypsela has 2-6 ribs and the 20-30 pappus are bristly. The seeds are dispersed by wind and may germinate readily but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
