Botanic information
Leaf: The pinnately divided strongly aromatic leaves have 2-4 linear thread-like leaflets that are up to 40 mm (1? in) long with entire recurved margins. Initially the leaves are large but as the plant matures they become smaller and tougher and during drought periods they are deciduous.

Flower: The small yellowish radiate flowers have 6-10 ray florets (pistillate flowers) and 15-30 disk florets. The flower heads are arranged in a racemose panicle that appears from summer to late autumn.

Fruit: The obovoid glabrous achene is either smooth or ribbed. The small seeds rely on fire for germination in their native habitat and the plant can be reproduced vegetatively.
