Propagation
The seeds require stratification prior to sowing in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate. Prick out when large enough to handle and pot on for one season before planting out. The seedlings are prone to damping off or other fungal diseases and germination is erratic or poor.
Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer and place in a protected environment and apply bottom heat.
Note:
Care should be taken as this plant dislikes root disturbance or a build-up of soil around the base.
