Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 12º to 15º C. (55º to 59º F).

Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The silvery grey ovate basal leaves are arranged in rosettes and the stem leaves whorled in groups of three. The leathery textured leaves a densely tomentose particularly on the underside and the petiole is short.

Flower: The tiny cyathiform flowers have 6-petal-like sepals with exserted stamens and are densely pubescent. The umbel is compound with leaf-like bracts and has 3-10 blooms per head. They appear above the foliage on a leafy scape from spring through summer to autumn.

Fruit: The tiny 3-angled ovoid glabrous achene is brown to black and is normally enclosed in the persistent perianth segments. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
