Propagation
Sow seed in a container and place in a cold frame to germinate. Keep moist and prick out when large enough to handle. Plant out with a spacing of 200 mm (7µ in).
Division of the plant during spring.
Botanic information
Leaf: The glaborous glaucous green acicular leaves are up to 12 mm (½ in) long with a acute-mucronate apex. The texture is thick and fleshy and the incurved leaves are arranged in a whorl.
Flower: The small pink salverform flowers are up to 8 mm (? in) long and 1-3 are arranged in a terminal cluster just above the foliage. They appear prolifically during early summer.
Fruit: The tiny berries contain numerous seeds and should be collected once the fruit has dried on the plant.The small seeds are viable but the plant can be reproduced vegetatively.
