Soft tip or semi hardwood cuttings taken from summer to autumn and placed in a protected environment until roots appear.
Botanic information
Leaf: The light green leaves are broad ovate to oval, up to 10 mm (? in)wide with serrated margins and a petiole up to 5 mm (? in) long. The texture is thick-leathery and the apex is obtuse to truncate.
Flower: The glabrous yellow tubulate flowers have linear sepals up to 4 mm (? in)long and the 18 mm (? in) long corolla has reflexed lobes that are up to 8 mm (? in)long with the wings to 1.5 mm wide and the indusium is broad-ovate. They are arranged in a loose axillary raceme that appears during summer and sporadically throughout the year. The yellow flowers sometimes have brownish lines with varnished-like appearance.
Fruit: The cylindrical capsule has entire valves and contains numerous oblong pale brown seeds that are up to 3 mm long. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
