Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 18º to 21º C. (64º to 75º F).

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during spring and semi-hardwood cuttings during summer apply bottom heat.

Botanic information
Leaf: The blue green ovate to broad-elliptical leaves are up to 50mm (2in) wide and are concolorous and densely covered in stellate hairs. The apex is obtuse and the undulating margins are entire, sometimes slightly lobed and the thickish petiole is up to 16mm (? in) long.

Flower: The purple rotate flowers have spreading triangular lobes and yellow stamens with a pedicle up to 10mm (? in) long. There are 2-7 flowers arranged in an axillary cyme that has a peduncle up to 15mm (? in) long and appear from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The yellowish berry varies from globular to ovoid or ellipsoid and is up to 16mm (? in) in diameter and is accompanied by the persistent calyx. They have a pedicle up to 90mm (3½ in) longand appear in a pendant cluster. The small light brown seeds are up to 3mm (? in) long and are viable but the plant can be reproduced vegetatively.
