Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during early spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle. Grow in pots for one season before planting out.

Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green concolorous leathery texture narrow-lanceolate to falcate adult leaves have an acute to acuminate apex. The short petiole is flattened or channelled and the intermediate sessile leaves are dull grey green.
Flower: The flower buds are reddish and obovoid with a smooth hypanthium and a conical operculum. The flowers open with a mass of long yellow stamens and are arranged in an umbel with 3-7 flowers and the peduncle is flattened or angular. The main flowering period is during summer, but blooms may be seen on the plant throughout the year.
Fruit: The woody capsule is ovoid to urceolate with a depressed disk and the valves are enclosed. It is up to 35 mm (1? in) wide by 70 mm (2? in) long and the slender pedestal is a 130 mm (5? in) long.
General pruning information
Eucalyptusspecies require little pruning apart from removal of damaged or dead wood, which should be taken off at the collar. If the tree is cut back hard it will produce epicormic shoots and the crown may be lifted or thinned by removal of selected branches.
