Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. The seeds may require scarification and may take up to 2 year to germinate.
Take soft tip or semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer and Insert in a well-drained but moist media and place in a protected environment until roots appear.
Botanic information
Leaf: The ascending grey-green to grey-white ovate-oblong to elliptical-oblong leaves are up to 40 mm (1? in) long by 8 mm (? in)wide with entire margins and an acute apex.
Flower: The greenish-yellow tubulate flowers are 2-lipped with a curled lower lip and a 4 lobed upper lip. The 4-reddish stamens protrude from the corolla and the flowers appear in the leaf axils singularly during early spring.
Fruit: The 2 to 4 chambered hard and woody drupe is indehiscent, dry and sometimes splitting at the apex. There are 1 to 3 hard-coated seeds per chamber and they are difficult to germinate. The plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
