Soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period. bottom heat may encourage fast root development. Grafted forms are available for regions with humid summers.

This species is under threat due to the loss of canopy as a result ofPhytophthora cinnamomicausing die back to other species. It is also threatened by repeatedly fire, grazing by rabbits and weed invasion.
Botanic information
Leaf: The small aromatic dark green terete linear leaves are up to 10 mm (? in) long and have an acute apex. They are curved and are arranged densely along the end of the branchlets.
Flower: The 8-tiny reddish-white tubular to campanulate flowers have 5-petals and sepals and are accompanied by large pendant white bell-like bracts that are streaked or tipped in red and are up to 30 mm (1? in) long. They appear arranged in a terminally from late winter to spring.
Fruit: The small nut is not commonly seen and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
