Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed in a well drained media and place in a protected environment. Keep moist but not wet until germination occurs.
Take stem cuttings of a non-flowering shoots during early summer. Place in a well drained media and keep moist.
Botanic information
Leaf: The silvery grey elliptical leaves are up to 50 mm (2 in) long with an obtuse apex and both surfaces are densely covered in greyish tomentose when young. Mature leaves are woolly on the underside and along the short petiole. They are arranged alternately along the densely woolly branchlets.
Flower: The tubulate flowers are up to 20 mm (µ in) wide with 5-spreading obovate petals that are notched at the apex and are blue with a yellow centre. They appear solitary or in a small axillary cluster that appears from mid winter to mid spring.
Fruit: The fruit is a small nut that contains tiny seeds. The seeds are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
