Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours.

Soft tip or semi hardwood cuttings taken from summer to autumn. This plant is difficult to transplant as it has a fine root system.

General pruning information
Lightly prune immediately after flowering to encourage a bushy habit and profuse increased flowering in the following season. Cutting back at other times during the year may cause dieback.
Cut flower but must have reasonable length of stem.

Botanic information
Leaf: The mid green variable leathery textured leaves are narrow elliptical to narrow obovate or obovate up to 15 mm (? in) wide with an obtuse apex.

Flower: The pink stellate flowers have 4- pubescent ovate sepals and 5-spreading glabrous ovate petals. They appear singularly or in a small cluster both terminally and axillary over a long flowering period from autumn through to mid-summer.

Fruit: The small 4-locular capsule is explosive with one seed in each loculus. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
