Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green broad elliptical to oblong leaves have acuminate apex and an entire margin that is undulating. The petiole is short and the texture is thin leathery with a cuneate base.

Flower: The crateriform flowers have 5-obovate petals with wavy edge margins and a calyx has 8-glands. The short thickish pedestal is green and the flowers are arranged in an axillary raceme on a long peduncle. The flowering period may extend from spring to autumn in tropical climates.

Fruit: The yellow to red ovoid drupe contains a sticky pulp, which has the consistency of peanut butter hence the common name. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
