Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring or autumn in pots. Care should be taken as the seeds lose viability quickly.

Cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring to early summer.

Botanic information
Leaf: The leathery textured leaves are narrow elliptical to oblong with an acuminate apex and a short petiole. The upper surface is glossy dark green and the underside is pale green and the new growth has bronze pubescence on the underside.

Flower: The crateriform flower has 4-small sepals and 4-spreading rounded white petals with a central cluster of creamy-white stamens with pale yellow anthers. They have a long pedicle and appear solitary or in a small cluster along the stems or terminally during spring.

Fruit: The variable fleshy pendant yellow-orange berry has a persistent calyx and contains 1-2 seeds. When eaten it has a sweet flavour tasting similar to a cherry. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
