Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during early spring in pots and plant out when large enough to handle.

Take semi hardwood cuttings during early summer and place in a well drained media and keep moist.

Botanic information
Leaf: The thick yellowish-green broad-ovate to almost orbicular leaves have an obtuse apex and the petiole is up to 20mm (µ in) long. The upper surface is glaborous and the underside is covered in white to yellow or buff tomentose. The entire margins are slightly recurved and the leaves are arranged densely along the branchlets that are clad in white to yellow stellate tomentose.

Flower: The radiate (capitula) flowers have yellow tubulate disk florets and 5-12 ray florets. The short petiole is clad in green imbricate bracts that are densely covered in tomentose and the flower heads appear solitary or up to 3 are arranged in a small cluster. They appear from early to midsummer.

Fruit: The tiny linear-oblong glaborous achenes have obvious ribs and the pappus has very slender hairs that are up to 6mm (¥ in) long.The small seeds are viable but the plant can be reproduced vegetatively.
