Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during early spring in pots and plant out when large enough to handle.
Take semi hardwood cuttings during early summer and place in a well drained media and keep moist.
Botanic information
Leaf: The light green leathery textured lanceolate to linear leaves have an acuminate to acute apex and a truncate base with a petiole that is up to 20mm (µ in) long. It has serrated to dentate spiny-like margins that are undulating and the upper surface is glaborous and the underside is covered in yellowish-white tomentose.
Flower: The small white flowers have 10-15 narrow oblong white ray florets and yellow-brown tubulate disk florets and have a slender pedicle. They are arranged densely in a large rounded corymb that is up to 100mm (4 in) wide and appear above the foliage during spring.
Fruit: The tiny linear-oblong achenes have obvious ribs that have ascending hairs and the pappus has very slender unequal hairs that are up to 4mm (? in) long.
