Propagation
Sow seeds when ripe in situ or in a container and place in an open frame. Germination will occur during spring, prick out and pot up and place outside to harden off.

Botanic information
Leaf: The broad dark green palmate leaves are up to 180mm (7in) wide with a sightly cordate base and ovate pointed lobes. The margin is irregularly serrated and the petiole is up to 125mm (5in) long.

Flower: The unisexual crateriform flowers have 5-sepals and 5-petals with 4-10 stamens and are arranged in in an upright corymb-like panicle that appears with new foliage during spring.

Fruit: The green samara are in pairs and joined at the base with membranous reddish wings that are overlapping or at right angles. They appear in a weeping cluster on the end of branches during autumn.
