Propagation
Sow seeds when ripe in situ or in a container and place in an open frame. Germination will occur during spring, prick out and pot up and place outside to harden off.
Botanic information
Leaf: The slightly leathery textured leaves are triangular-ovate with 3-obtuse to acute lobes that are up to 75mm (3in) wide. The upper surface is glossy dark green and the underside has obvious reticulated venation. The slender reddish petiole is up to 60mm (2 3/8in) in length.
Flower: The unisexual crateriform flowers have 4-sepal and petals with up to 10-stamens. They are arranged in pendant auxiliary corymb that appears profusely during early summer.
Fruit: The twin samara is reddish with connivent or overlapping wings.
