Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 24º C. (66º to 77º F).

Stem cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period and place in a gritty well drained media.

Botanic information
Leaf: The very large leathery textured glossy dark green palmately lobed leaves have up to 7-deep lobes that are again lobed and have a snowflake-like appearance. The apex is obtuse to abruptly acuminate and the spiny petiole is up to 1m (3 ft) long.

Flower: The whitish cyathiform flowers have 6-spreading petals that are greenish on the outside and contain 12-stamens with white anthers. They have a thick green pedicle and brown calyx lobes and the flowers are arranged in umbles in a axillary racemous inflorescence that appears during spring or at other times in tropical regions.

Fruit: The fleshy globose black drupe has 7-12 pyrenes and has a persistent style. The seeds are viable but the plant can be reproduced vegetatively.
