Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification (peeling treatment).

Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer but cuttings are difficult to strike and are not the normal procedure for propagation.
Grafted forms on to Grevillea robusta are available.


Botanic information
Leaf: The pinnate leaves have 2 to 7 narrow linear lobes with an obtuse to acute apex and is covered in short tomentose. They have a short petiole and the margin is revolute.

Flower: The small tubulate flower has a pedestal up to 4 mm (? in)long and the oblong yellow to greenish perianth segments are up to 8mm (? in) in length witha protruding yellow style to 17mm (?in) long. The flowers are arranged in an a one-sided terminal or sometimes axillary, villous raceme up to 200mm (7µin) long and are accompanied by elliptical bracts up to 4 mm ? long. The flowers appear during spring or sporadically throughout the year in warm regions and are pollinated by birds.

Fruit: The ellipsoidal follicleis up to 9mm (? in) wide with a greenish-brown glandular tomentose pericarp and contains a single oblong to elliptical seed to 9mm (? in) long surrounded by a prominent wing.
