Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).

Tip cuttings and semi-hardwood cuttings during summer. Stem cuttings can also be taken during the growing period is the plant roots from the nodes.


Botanic information
Leaf: The ovate leaves have 3-lobes with an acute to acuminate apex and is sharply serrated to dentate along the margin. The base is cordate and the leaves are covered in fine pubescence. The slender petiole is up to 50 mm (2 in) long with 2-united bracts at the base with an opposing tendril.

Flower: The pendant crateriform flower consists of 5-sepals and 5-pink petals with an exserted staminal column up to 40 mm (1? in)long with yellow anthers. The green floral tube has bracts at the base that are up to 45 mm (1µ in) long and the pedestal is up to 40 mm (1? in) in length. The flowers appear from summer to early winter.

Fruit: The downy berry is up to 30 mm (1? in) wide and matures from autumn to winter turning yellow-green. Each berry contains up to 180 seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
