Propagation
Sow seeds when ripe in a container and place in a warm humid environment till germination occurs.

Semi-hardwood cuttings taken during the growing period.


Botanic information
Leaf: The trifoliate leaves have 3-rhomboidal leaflets that are up to 230mm (9 in) wide and have a long acuminate apex and the margins may be lobed.

Flower: The papillionate flowers have an apical spur and are composed of a long straight to slightly curved, folded standard that is up to 65 mm (2½ in) long. The smaller keel petals that are united. The flowers have a short pedestal and is arranged in a terminal raceme that appears before the foliage during spring.

Fruit: The cylindrical legume is almost woody and slightly constricted between the seeds. The blackish seeds have tawny markings and are very viable but the tree can be reproduced vegetatively.
