Propagation
Soft tip cuttings taken during late spring to summer and placed in a well-drained media. Keep moist and warm until rooting occurs.
Division of the clump during autumn.
Botanic information
Leaf: The ovate leaves have sharply serrated margins and a long acuminate apex. The petiole is short and the stipules are awl-like. They appear sparsely along the slender green stems.
Flower: The bisexual single crateriform flowers have 5-petals and sepals with numerous stamens and 5-8 pistils.They are arranged terminally on a leafy lateral shoot and appear during spring.
Fruit: The small fruit consists of 5-8 achenes. The tiny seeds are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
