Sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.
Botanic information
Leaf: The tiny scale-like leaves are reduced to 6-8 teeth that are arranged in a whorl around the branchlets. The branchlets are up to 250mm (9µin) long.
Flower: The tiny male flowers are arranged in a terminal spike that is up to 20mm (µin) long and the female flowers are arranged in a globular head that forms a stalked cone.They appear during early summer.
Fruit: The globular cone is up to 15mm (?in) wide and has a short pedicle. It contains numerous brown single winged seeds (samara).
