Propagation
Sow fresh seeds in trays during spring and prick out when large enough to handle.
Soft tip or semi hardwood cuttings taken from spring to summer and placed in a protected humid environment.
Botanic information
Leaf: The trifoliate leaves have 3-glabrous ovate to broadly-lanceolate or oblong-elliptical leaflets with the terminal one larger and are obtuse at the base and apex. They are up to 50 mm (2 in) long by 45 mm (1µ in) wide with a short petiole to 15 mm (? in) long. The upper surface has 3-4 pairs of raised main veins and the leaflets are glabrous.
Flower: The small bisexual tubular flowers are sweetly fragrant and numerous blooms are arranged in an axillary or terminal corymbose panicle that is up to 150 mm (6 in) long. The flowering period can extend from late spring to early autumn.
Fruit: The small globose berry has a fleshy exocarp and the seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
