Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during autumn in a well-drained media, and place in an open frame to germinate.

Division of the rhizome during early spring as a new growth appears.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are cordate to orbicular with a double dentate margin. The petiole is up to 150 mm (6 in) long.

Flower: The small campanulate flowers have 4-parted calyx and a 4-lobed corolla. The pedestal is short and the flowers are arranged in a terminal spike-like raceme that is accompanied by leaf-like toothed bracts and appear from spring to early summer.

Fruit: The fruit is a flattened loculicidal capsule that contains numerous seeds that are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
