Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 13° C. (55° F.)

Take basal or softwood cuttings from spring to early summer and apply bottom heat.

Culture
It dislikes fine textured soils, preferring a course to medium stony loam including clay and watering should be reduced during winter to avoid rot.


Botanic information
Leaf: The mid green ovate leaves have scalloped margins or consists of 3-5 lobes with a cordate to cuneate base and the upper surface is covered densely in stellate pubescence. The petiole is up to 60 mm (2? in) long and the leaf texture is soft leathery.

Flower: The 5-pettaled cyathiform (cup-shaped) orange to red flowers have a central column of united stamens. They are arranged in an axillary or terminal panicle that appears from summer to early autumn.

Fruit: The capsule is a densely pubescent schizocarp that is depressed and conical shape with 10 to 12 mericarp's, each containing 1-2 seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
