Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during autumn and place in a cold frame to germinate.
Division of the clump during spring.
Softwood cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period.
Note:
All parts of the plant if ingested it may cause a stomach upset and contact with the sap may irritate the skin.
Botanic information
Leaf: The small fleshy linear leaves are cylindrical and are bright green with an obtuse apex that is tipped in red. They are arranged in a rosette towards the end of the stems and tend to fold inwards.
Flower: The stellate flowers are arranged in a terminal flat topped corymb that is held above the foliage during summer. The tiny white flowers have 5-sepals and free petals with small spreading stamens.
Fruit: The small star-shaped follicle produces numerous seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
