Botanic information
Leaf: The small fleshy sessile oval leaves are almost globose and are crowded towards the end of the stems in opposite pairs of 4 to 8. The leaf colour is light green suffused with red.

Flower: The white stellate flowers are arranged in a terminal panicle-like cyme that is held above the foliage during early summer. The tiny flowers have 5-sepals and petals that are separated with small spreading stamens.

Fruit: The small star-shaped follicle produces the numerous seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
