Propagation
Sow seed when ripe or during spring in pots and place in a protected environment.
Tip cuttings taken during the growing period.
Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile leaves are linear to lanceolate with an accumulate apex. The texture is leathery and the underside has a small whitish hairs.
Flower: The salverform flowers have 5-rounded petals that are notched at the apex and have darker pink markings at the base. The yellow stamens are short and the densely pubescent calyx lobes are reddish. The flowers are arranged in an axillary cyme that is held above the foliage and appears from late spring to early summer.
Fruit: The small 3-valved capsule contains the numerous seeds that are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
