Propagation
Soaked the seeds prior to sowing during spring, in containers and place in a cold frame to germinate.

Division of the clump during early spring. Take care not to disturb the roots excessively.


Botanic information
Leaf: The pinnate leaves have 2 to 4 pairs of ovate to elliptical leaflets that are up to 80 mm (3in) long. The apex is acuminate and the margin is slightly dentate. They are arranged alternatly along the un-winged stems.

Flower: The papillionate flowers are white flushed with pink to lavender or reddish-purple and commonly fading to yellowish. The flowers are arranged in a one-sided raceme that is held above the foliage on a pinkish scape and appear profusely over the plant during spring.

Fruit: The flat dehiscent legume is pubescent and contains numerous viable seedsbut the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
