Propagation
Stratify fresh seed during autumn and sow in containers and place in an open frame until germination occurs.
Division of the clump during spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The soft textured mid green leaves are ovate to spathulate with an acute apex. During summer the leaves die off.

Flower: The rotate flowers have 5-sepals and 5-twisted reflexed pink petals that fade to white then yellow towards the centre that has a purplish staminal column. There are 4 to 25 flowers arranged in an umbel that is held above foliage on scape that is up to 500 mm (20 in) tall and appear during late spring.

Fruit: The small dehiscing capsules contained numerous seeds that are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively to maintain true type.
