Botanic information
Leaf: The almost sessile dark green narrow-linear leaves are terete-like with revolute margins and the apex is obtuse with a small point.
Flower: The male and female rotate flowers appear on the same plant and may be in the same cluster. The male flower has up to 6-spreading oblanceolate petals and the yellowish stamens are fused in to a central column. The female is simular with 3-styles and contains a 3-celled ovary. They appear from late winter to spring.
Fruit: The globular capsule contains several seeds that are viable but may be difficult to germinate so the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
