Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º to 64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification.
Botanic information
Leaf: The concave dark green leaves are elliptical to narrow-ovate and covered in fine hairs when young, becoming glabrous at maturity. The petiole is short and the obtuse apex has a sharp point. They are arranged alternately densely along the woody stems.
Flower: The almost sessile tellow papillionate flowers are up to12mm (½in) long with a reddish standardand are arranged in an axillary raceme. They appear abundantly from spring to late summer.
Fruit: The small ovate legume is woody and contains several hard seeds.
