Propagation
Sow ripe seeds and maintain a temperature of 19º to 27º C. (66º to 81º F).
Stem cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are narrow-oblong to narrow-elliptical, up to 45mm (1µin) wide and narrows to a flat or slightly concave petiole that is up to 200mm (7µin) long.The leaf venation is parallel and the apex is acute.
Flower: The numerous small shallow cyathiform (cup-shaped) flowers are 6-tepalled and are arranged in a large arching apical panicle that appears during spring.
Fruit: The spherical bright scarlet berries contain glossy black seeds and are persistent on the plant. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
